THE OPENING CEREMONY OF
SRI SARADA NURSERY SCHOOL BUILDING
ON 18TH FEBRUARY 2008

A long felt need of a new and separate building to accommodate the Sarada Nursery School of the Ramakrishna Mission, Batticaloa, was met on the 18th of February 2008 with the opening of a new block at the premises of the Mission at Ramakrishnapuram, Batticaloa.

The building was declared open by Rev. Srimat Swami Atmaramanandaji Maharaj, secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Coimbatore and Trustee of the Ramakrishna Math and a member of the Governing Body of the Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, India. Srimat Swami Sarvarupanandaji Maharaj, head of the Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Lanka and, Swami Ajaratmananda, Swami–in–charge, Ramakrishna Mission Childrens' Homes, Batticaloa, and other monks of the Ramakrishna Order were present at the function.

A very large gathering consisting of the children of the nursery School, their parents, well wishers and devotees attended the function that followed blessings, devotional songs and other customary religious rites.

The function concluded with the serving of 'Prasadam' to all who were present.

The new building is very urgently in need of furniture and other equipments for use by the children numbering over one hundred and the staff. The Nursery School needs Permanent Endowment Fund to run and maintain the institution according to the required standards.

The Ramakrishna Mission, Batticaloa, therefore solicits the well wishers, devotees and parents to come forward and, help us as usual to run the Nursery School.
